Cielo developed and holds the patent to a technology that can convert many forms of waste into fuels such as diesel (including renewable diesel), naphtha and kerosene at a considerably lower cost than other biofuel companies.
Cielo plans to construct waste to fuel facilities using alternate waste feedstocks. Mandates from Federal, Provincial and World governments for greener energy supplies make this the right time for waste to fuel production.
Our near-term focus remains on getting our Aldersyde facility into continuous production and revenue. In parallel with the Aldersyde work Cielo is also in the design stages of a scaled-down version (60-litres per hour or “lph”) of a complete process system which is intended to mimic a full-scale state-of-the-art 4,000-lph facility which Cielo anticipates will be the basis for the design of future full scale commercial facilities. Based on our current timeline, we anticipate initiating the fabrication and construction phase of this research and development facility towards the end of Q1-2022 which is planned at Cielo’s new, recently announced site at Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
